We are
often asked about the name SisterfieldS. Is it your last name? Are you sisters?
Are you, perhaps, nuns? No, we are not nuns, not even sisters. We are two
friends living in the beautiful Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. Together,
with each others' sisters, we combined the words sister and fields (as in
mother earth) and SisterfieldS was born. We have always been good cooks, and one of us is a chef. When we came to Oregon in 1990 we noticed we were surrounded by fruit orchards. Let there be jam! It all started with the first batch of dark cherry jam, and we've been jamming ever since. This led us on to fruit butters, fruit vinegars, marmalades, and chutneys, too. However, our real speciality is the quality of our products. We make everything by hand in small batches just the way grandma used to do. We even stirred in the love. |
